they conjure the nataraj (dancing Shiva) in my mind’s eye… or perhaps it’s subliminal given his name?
@sci-culturist. right, it totally conjures up the image of the dancing shiva*. if that is the case, then the image has even more powerful connotations than i thought; black woman as powerful goddess? deep. i just saw the surface of an intruiging cultural mashup.
